I am a social justice advocate who enjoys working with people and organizations that make the world a better place.

I’ve led a fulfilling career spanning non-profit management, marketing  communications, program management, writing, and visual design. But at the end of the day, I believe it all boils down to me telling good stories–and telling them well.

The Change.org Foundation creates positive impact in some of the world’s most marginalised communities through its open platform, community-building programs, research, and partnerships for citizen-led campaigning.

As a Communication Designer, I lead the global communication strategy, brand-building process, content development, and learning experience design of our programs. My day-to-day work involves applying storytelling and user experience design principles in creating digital learning and communications materials that help drive impact.

My most recent project involved setting the groundwork (systems and processes) for developing a blended learning model for our programs. This involved canvassing and beta testing learning management software, copywriting and editing course content to suit an online learning environment, and migrating modules onto a mobile-friendly online learning platform.

I’m also most proud of leading the brand-building process and developing the identity systems of Change.org Foundation’s flagship program, She Creates Change.

As part of the global team, I’ve managed the design and implementation of Change.org Foundation’s impact communications and learning agenda to support our teams in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.

Among my projects and notable accomplishments are:

  • Managing a multi-functional global support team
  • Co-leading the development of a “Belief in People Power” framework for citizen-led digital activism
  • Advising country leads on impact and communications strategy
  • Brand-building for the Change.org Foundation
  • Leading the organization’s website redesign
  • Facilitating internal cross-country learning experiences

I started my time at Change.org by helping design a global approach for learning. During that time, I helped develop an internal learning hub and improve internal systems and processes for cross-country insight-sharing. In the process, I was able to build a *fun* and productive learning community which not only supported the work of our staff, but also strengthened organizational culture.

Within my first three months, I helped develop the organization’s first Digital Civic Engagement Index and Pandemic Report. I successfully pitched this project to internal stakeholders and then served as its project coordinator, editor, and communication manager.

Numbers-wise, my projects, initiatives, and learning philosophy led to a three-fold increase in codified insights and staff-authored learning materials + staff-led learning events.

Later that year, I received the Change.org Ambassadors Award — an award given to those “who go above and beyond in representing one or many of the company values.”

The World Youth Alliance (WYA) envisions a world in which human dignity is the foundation for policy and program implementation. WYA works with young people around the world to impact policy, influence education, and build a culture that nurtures and defends human dignity.

As Regional Director, I was responsible for growing the Asia Pacific region in the areas of new members, certified members, chapters and national committees, and program partners. I was also leading our advocacy work by representing WYA at local, regional, and international conferences.

My notable accomplishments include:

  • Establishing 10 new regional WYA Chapters located in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, and the Philippines
  • Training more than 300 youth and educators under the WYA Certified Training Program and the WYA Human Dignity Curriculum
  • Launching new programs such as the WYA Human Dignity Curriculum and the WYA Training of Trainers in the Philippines
  • Conducting lectures, workshops, and training sessions about human dignity and human rights, youth empowerment, civic participation, sustainable development, women’s health, and other topics, to more than 2,000 youth and professionals from countries around the Asia Pacific region
  • Leading advocacy and policy research and training for the region in the areas of sustainable development, maternal health, human rights, good governance, environmental stewardship, migration and development, and others.

As part of the global team, I managed marketing and communication projects for WYA Africa, WYA Asia Pacific, WYA Europe, WYA Latin America, WYA Middle East, and WYA North America.

Among the projects I am most proud of was leading the rebranding of the WYA Manhattan International Film Festival, which resulted in a 66% increase in film entry submissions in 2013.

McCann Worldgroup is a leading global marketing solutions network whose professionals are united across 100+ countries by a single vision: To help brands earn a meaningful role in people’s lives. McCann Worldgroup Philippines is the largest and leading integrated marketing communications firm in the country.

I owe much of my expertise in marketing communications, team management, and client management to my work in McCann.

As Account Manager, I managed advertising projects–TV, radio, print, and digital–for leading brands in the Philippines, the largest of which was Jollibee Foods Corp. I also managed broadcast and print Advertising for EQ Diapers, which then gained a 9% increase in market share in 2014.

more things I'm proud of.

I’m a volunteer and Alumna Advisor to the World Youth Alliance for the Asia Pacific region, and was previously a  volunteer writer for Team Leni Robredo.

On many occasions, I have also conducted fundraising drives for families affected by natural calamities in the Philippines, as well as volunteered my time for humanitarian aid.

I took up Communication as my undergraduate degree, along with a minor degree in Philosophy. I’m currently completing a Graduate degree program in Philosophy.
